MUSIC EDUCATION
As an owner of The Kids' Clubhouse, I have spent over twenty years within the after school and summer camp industry. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations. My husband, Jackson (that's right... Jack and Jill), and I have been married for eighteen years and have two beautiful little girls and our yellow lab. Over the course of 20 years, I have always been passionate about the enrichment of children’s lives within my community. After running a remote learning facility, I was inspired to explore new and innovative techniques for educating our youth. I am eager to see this vision become a reality.
My name is Jana Nolen. In May, 2021, I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelors of science in Human Development and Family Studies with a Concentration in Child, Youth, and Early Development with a minor in American Sign Language. In May, 2023, I will be graduating from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a masters of science in Counseling and Educational Development with a concentration in School Counseling. In addition to obtaining licensure in school counseling, I will also be pursuing licensure in clinical mental health counseling. I have been a part of The Kids’ Clubhouse family for four years and I am very excited to start this journey with The Clubhouse Academy.
My name is Kelsey Koontz, and I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade this year! I have so many fun things planned and can’t wait to share them with you! I graduated from the University of Wilmington and love going back to the beach to visit. I also have state education training in Edtpa and Letrs. Some of my favorite things to do are spend time with my family, paint, read, and go to Florida.

Teaching: As owner and instructor at The Gray Wing Studio in Walkertown, I taught over 150 home educated students annually for 10 years. Summer Art camps overflowed with students from all over the Triad. Under the direction of Global Next Ministries, I escorted select groups of qualifying high school
students to Christian Leadership Conferences in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Holland, Greece and Israel. Leading a drawing project in Poland focused on Auschwitz is a memory I hold dear. It is on these travels and firsthand experiences I developed “Hands On Art History” curriculum. The
accomplishment most dear to this artist’s art is the large number of students who came to my teaching studio their entire 12 years of schooling. During COVID I attempted to teach online. I found what was missing for me was the hands on. I retired for 6 years so I could be available to watch my new grandchildren. During that time I kept a few students in my home studio. I am ready to get back out and share the Art History experience that is dear to my heart. I am very busy with freelance commission work but find I miss the inspiration gained when teaching what I know.
My name is Ben Casinger. I’ve been a proud member of The Kids’ Clubhouse team for eight years now, and have been under the careful tutelage of Mrs. Sondra and Mrs. Jill since I was five years old. I studied Education at East Carolina University and Filmmaking at Forsyth Technical Community College. I am a certified member of the International Thespian Society with experience in both acting and directing in productions such as “The Wizard of Oz” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Footloose”. I’m very excited for the opportunity to teach your students how to engage their creative minds.
My name is Meredith Harmon and I am excited to be a part of Clubhouse Academy! I am a wife, a mother of two boys, a homeschool parent, and an active participant in ministry, both within my local church and my husband and I’s small group within our home. I am passionate about all things imaginative, especially songwriting! I am particularly drawn to cinematic, Celtic, alternative-rock/nostalgic, classical, electronic, and worship music.
But, growing up, I listened to many genres of music, appreciating the teamwork, talent, and heart required to write captivating music from scratch. Being a Christian, who is also an observant listener, I became sensitive to the sounds and lyrics I would hear. During the school year, we will discuss the importance of making wise listening choices, and how to create multi-layered songs from a place of purity and wisdom. We will explore rhythm, foley, melody, voice and the history of music around the world! Music is powerful, and I cannot wait to dive into it this school year.
Natalie Rubley earned her bachelor degree from John Wesley College and her master's degree from Carolina School of Divinity. She has experience as a children's ministry director as well as many years as a chaplain with Wake Forest Baptist Hospital as well as WellCare Hospice. Natalie has been married to her husband, Jason, for 14 years. Together they have two daughters and a little pooch named Oscar. We welcome Natalie to Clubhouse Academy as she continues her pursuit of helping change the lives of children.
